In the mid eighties Richard and his wife Jacynthe founded Hazelwood Herb Farm. His love of cooking and the quest to find fresh herbs, instead of dried, led him down this road. Over the 25 years that they owned the farm, he taught gardening and cooking classes, as well as the day to day running of the business. In the final years the farm sold close to 500 varieties of plants, which at one time in history were considered to be herbs. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge on growing, caring for, preserving, and using herbs for cooking.
